Why we created Lifestyles For Aging At Home
Lifestyles For Aging At Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It was created to fill a gap in the aging at home puzzle. We saw that aging at home often becomes risky not because people are unwilling to plan, but because physical limitations, fixed incomes, and deferred maintenance quietly turn everyday living spaces into hazards. Falls, system failures, and preventable safety issues too often force individuals into sudden crises and unwanted moves.
We also recognized that families and older adults are rarely given practical, proactive guidance to assess their homes, plan for change, and address risks before an emergency occurs. Decisions are frequently made after a fall, illness or breakdown-when options are limited and costs are high.
Lifestyles For Aging At Home was created to close that gap. We exist to help individuals and families identify risks early, prioritize safety and maintenance, and create realistic, personalized plans that make aging at home safer, more sustainable, and more dignified-regardless of income or physical ability.
